We're Going to Smorgasburg! Wicker Village at the AAPI Festival of Tea

Something exciting is happening this weekend — and we couldn't be more thrilled to share it with you.
Wicker Village is heading to Smorgasburg's AAPI Festival of Tea in New York on May 23 and 24, 2025. This is our very first smorgasburg event, and we are beyond excited to bring our handcrafted pieces out of the studio and directly into your hands.
What Is Smorgasburg?
If you haven't heard of Smorgasburg, allow us to introduce you to one of New York City's most beloved outdoor markets. Dubbed the Woodstock of Eating by The New York Times, Smorgasburg is the largest weekly open-air market in America, welcoming more than 2 million visitors a year to its New York, Los Angeles, and Miami locations.
What started in May 2011 on the Williamsburg waterfront has since grown into a cultural institution — a place where independent makers, artisans, and food vendors connect directly with curious, passionate communities. Over the years, Smorgasburg has become much more than a market. It's a launchpad. Hundreds of small businesses have found their footing here, growing into restaurants, brick-and-mortar shops, and beloved brands.
For a young brand like ours, being part of this community is incredibly meaningful.
The AAPI Festival of Tea — A Special Celebration
This particular event is extra special. The AAPI Festival of Tea, presented by Smorgasburg in partnership with browngirl magazine, is a dedicated celebration of Asian American and Pacific Islander culture, community, and craft. Think rich teas from across Asia, beautiful handmade goods, and a vibrant gathering of South Asian and AAPI-owned brands, all under one roof — or rather, one open sky.
We will be part of the South Asian Pavilion, alongside other makers and brands proudly rooted in South Asian heritage and craftsmanship. It's a space that feels like home to us, and we can't wait to be a part of it.
